New old music from Kemopetrol!

Everyone’s plans have changed or been cancelled and life in general is very different now. Kemopetrol was supposed to be in the studio recording new songs and rehearsing for our “Slowed Down 20” shows, but that’s probably not going to be happening for a while.

However, lockdown has been bringing lots of new ideas. As a home quarantine activity, I spent the last few days going through my archives of our recorded material spanning from 1999 to the 2010’s. I managed to curate a collection of about 40 pretty cool sounding demos of songs that never made it to any of our albums. We’ve started publishing them on Bandcamp in little batches of three songs each. They can be listened to or downloaded for free or a nominal price. I’ve also added song lyrics and some liner notes about each of the songs on the site.

These are DEMOS and should be regarded as such. Some of them actually sound great and some are just fine. There are mistakes, questionable mixing (by me), etc. I always ask Laura to record while she’s still learning a song so there’s that as well.

Anyway, the songs themselves are good because I’m not biased at all.
